Overview
Are you passionate about healthcare and dedicated to excellence in infection prevention and control? SA Health is seeking a talented and experienced Nurse Manager to join our dynamic team in the Rural Support Service, based within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network.
In this pivotal role, you will leverage your clinical expertise and managerial acumen to provide exceptional leadership and support services to Nurse/Midwife Unit Managers and Nursing Directors across a range of critical areas, infection control processes and systems, accreditation, risk management processes, and information systems management.
As the Nurse Manager - Infection Prevention, Control & Sterilisation, you will spearhead the implementation of evidence-based infection control guidelines, ensuring compliance with the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Service (NSQHS) Standard 3, SA Health Policy, and relevant documentation and resources. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering a culture of best practices, safeguarding patient safety, and driving continuous improvement in infection prevention and control measures. Knowledge of Infection Control Standards, guidelines and practices is essential. Knowledge and experience in surveillance, epidemiology, immunisation and/or sterilisation is desirable for this rewarding role.
To excel in this role, you will possess at least 3 years of post-registration experience, coupled with exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of nursing/midwifery practices, and a commitment to promoting a positive and safe work environment. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, providing management guidance and support to Regional Local Health Networks and the Rural Support Service, coordinating projects and programs, and ensuring effective after-hours support for oversight and management of infection prevention and control initiatives.
