About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division (CTPD) is responsible for developing and supporting schools to implement the department's teaching and learning policies and providing curriculum implementation guidance to Victorian government schools.
CTPD draws on contemporary research and practice evidence to develop evidence-based teaching and learning policy reforms, co-design and implement initiatives to support schools to deliver high-quality teaching programs. CTPD has primary responsibility for providing advice and implementation support to government schools to deliver the Victorian Curriculum.
CTPD has three branches:

* Teaching and Learning
* Literacy, Languages, the Arts and Humanities
* Numeracy, STEM and Digital Learning.
Across these branches, the key functions include:
* developing and communicating policies and guidance in areas such as curriculum planning, pedagogy, assessment and reporting, curriculum implementation (including languages education, Holocaust education, literacy instruction, mathematics and numeracy education), and artificial intelligence
* developing lesson plans and other classroom teaching and learning resources to support the implementation of departmental pedagogical settings and F-10 curriculum
* designing and delivering high-quality professional learning to build teachers' professional expertise in key pedagogical and curriculum areas
* developing and managing the Arc Platform and implementing high-quality teaching and learning software
* fostering student, family and community engagement through programs like the Premiers' Reading Challenge, Books in Prep Bags, and community language schools.
About the Role
We are seeking a Manager, Delivery (English and Foundational A to D) to join the Lesson Plans Project Unit, reporting to the Director, Lesson Plans. In this key role, the successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of high-quality lesson plans and resources for the specific curriculum areas of English and Foundation Levels A to D. Working closely with suppliers, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders, you will ensure the lesson plans are evidence-based, user-friendly, and effectively meet the needs of educators and students.
This is an exciting full-time, fixed-term opportunity until 3 April 2026, offering the chance to help shape the future of education and make a direct impact on curriculum delivery across Victorian schools.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate contemporary, evidence-based teaching practices into the lesson plans and resources.
* Lead the implementation of multi-stage quality assurance processes to ensure the resources meet high standards and are effective in supporting educators.
* Manage stakeholder engagement across departments and with external suppliers to drive successful program delivery.
* Oversee project and contract management activities to ensure the timely and successful delivery of resources.
* Lead and support staff, including managing hybrid and agile work approaches.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Experience in curriculum development, teaching, and learning, with a strong understanding of contemporary educational practices.
* Strong project management skills, including experience working with external suppliers and managing contracts.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement, ensuring high-quality delivery in a dynamic environment.
* The ability to lead and manage teams in a flexible work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a background in education, a solid understanding of contemporary educational practices, and the ability to lead teams to successfully deliver complex, high-quality projects.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* A tertiary qualification in Education or a related field is required.
* Experience working within Victorian schools or in curriculum development and implementation is highly desirable.
* Experience in English curriculum is highly desirable.
