About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced After Hours Coordinator to join our welcoming and supportive team at our Multifunction Ward at our Korumburra campus. The After Hours Coordinator is a key management/leadership position managing the day-to-day operations and bed management during after hours service, providing leadership in achieving, upholding and fulfilling the organisations vision, mission and values.
As an After Hours Coordinator at GSHS you will be responsible for:
- Providing support and guidance to staff, facilitating safe, evidenced-based patient care.
- Coordinating the day to day management of Nursing Services, maintaining appropriate nursing staff levels and skill competencies through consultation with staff and Nursing Management.
- Facilitating patient bed management and care in accordance with hospital procedures, policies and statutory regulations.
- Ensuring organisations admission and discharge principles/policies are adhered to.
- Fostering teamwork and problem solving and reinforces a learning culture embracing the vision, values and mission of GSHS.
About You
The successful applicant should possess the following:
- Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) registration.
- Substantial post registration experience and nursing management experience.
- Demonstrated effectiveness as a manager with proven ability to develop, plan and meet strategic operational objectives.
- Current ALS- competency or willingness to obtain.
- Previous experience in a Hospital Coordinator position advantageous.
