Purpose
As the Café Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee and effectively manage all aspects of the outlets operations, ensuring its smooth and profitable functioning. In this role, you have a unique platform to showcase your exceptional leadership abilities and your talent for providing extraordinary guest experiences that leave a lasting impression.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational aspects and develop innovative and insightful strategies for optimising guest experience and revenue growth opportunities
- Leverage your extensive expertise to guide and mentor and train your team, ensuring they consistently craft memorable moments
- Manage all administrative and planning aspects of the department, including but not limited to scheduling, reporting, package and promotion development, recruitment, personnel management, inventory management, and ordering
- Ensures the outlet's point of sale cashiering computer system operates efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and maintaining the balance of the cash register and department cash float
- Manages and sustains optimal stock levels for the outlet
Skills & Experience
- Prior experience within a leadership role in a Food & Beverage environment
- Robust leadership skills to engage, inspire, and cultivate your team, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere
- Proven track record in managing budgets, overseeing inventory, and creating staff schedules
- Effective communicator with adept skills in stakeholder management, both internally and externally
- Flexibility to accommodate a varied work schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Exceptional organisational skills with a knack for prioritisation and a keen sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and effectiveness when faced with high-pressure situations
- Possession of a valid RSA or an equivalent qualification for the specific Country / State / Territory
