Join our passionate team at Optimum as an Occupational Therapist, delivering exceptional paediatric therapy across the Northern Rivers from our Ballina and Casino clinics. We’re looking for a committed professional to manage a rewarding paediatric caseload and make a meaningful impact on young lives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct functional assessments and prepare comprehensive reports tailored to the developmental needs of children
- Perform assistive technology assessments and recommend solutions to enhance independence and participation for paediatric clients
- Provide ongoing therapy to build capacity, focusing on improving motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities in young clients
- Administer cognitive assessments to evaluate and support developmental milestones and learning potential
- Deliver specialised paediatric therapy in our state-of-the-art clinic, utilizing a fully equipped therapy space featuring a climbing wall, sensory play equipment, swings, and interactive tools designed to engage children in fun, therapeutic activities
- Offer in-home and school-based services, collaborating with families and educators to implement tailored interventions, such as home modifications, equipment prescriptions, and strategies to support play, learning, and social development
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong ability to connect with clients and collaborate with team members
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Valid police check and driver’s license
- Preferred: Experience with NDIS and paediatric therap
Qualifications:
Degree in Occupational Therapy with General AHPRA registration
Occupational Therapists eligible for Limited Registration are also welcome to apply
