We are currently recruiting for a new Supervisor to join our Water business based in Beenleigh and reporting to the Senior Supervisor. The purpose of this new role is to deliver optimal project outcomes on site by providing day to day leadership to work crews and subcontractors.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Supervise, pro-actively facilitate and positively influence the day-to-day activities of subcontract work crews including all site activities as well as standard administrative tasks
• Deliver projects so that they comply with and meet expectations from clients, communities, environmental management requirements and other legislative requirements
• Pro-actively manage and facilitate subcontractors in meeting project objectives, particularly with respect to schedule, quality, safety and environmental outcomes
• Coordinate and schedule resources, plant and equipment, and materials on allocated projects
• Maintain work crew compliance to statutory requirements, and organisational policies and procedures
• Monitor the completion of on-site risk assessments and implementation of control measures
• Contribute to a culture of innovation in project delivery that results in delivery of ongoing efficiencies and improvements in project work practices
• Maintain good working relationships with a range of stakeholders during the project delivery, including delivery team colleagues, Partnership and Council management, support teams, design reps, subcontractors, suppliers and Council inspectors
• Participate in the POAR process within the Program to deliver value for money outcomes and provide critical project delivery input and advice, as required
• Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

• Educational qualification in frontline management or equivalent, preferably relevant to Civil Construction Supervision (desirable)
• Must possess all relevant qualifications and licences deemed necessary by legislation and/or the client
• Supervisory experience in the water sector (desirable)
• Extensive supervisory experience in the construction sector
• Extensive experience in the planning, set-up and execution of works
• Thoroughness and attention to detail
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Commitment to work within the requirements of the company’s Zero Harm system
