With a robust pipeline of work, primarily due to their success in securing projects from repeat clients, they are now looking for a talented Senior Contracts Administrator (Quantity Surveyor) to join their team. The initial requirements for this role include assisting the project team in delivering current projects involving single contracts valued at approximately $30 million or more.
As a Contracts Administrator (QS), you will provide high-quality service to ensure that project expectations are not only met but exceeded.

With a robust pipeline of work, thanks to their success in securing projects—mostly from repeat clients—they are now seeking a talented Senior Contracts Administrator (Quantity Surveyor) to join their team. The initial requirements for this role include assisting the projects team in delivering current projects with single contracts valued at approximately $30 million and more.
As a (QS) Contracts Admin, you will provide high-quality service to ensure that project expectations are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage all pre-contract activities, cost planning, and both subcontract and head contract processes.
  • Negotiate and review tenders for subcontract and head contracts, including preparing tender comparison documents for evaluation.
  • Prepare, check, and review subcontract packages, scopes of work, lettings, and procurement schedules.
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with environmental commitments and responsibilities.
  • Prepare accurate payment schedules.
  • Understand and manage the contractual risks associated with subcontractors.
  • Oversee progress claims, delay claims, and external variations in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Prepare project budgets for review and provide accurate rolling forecasts for final accounts.
  • Assist in preparing and administering project completion and inspection test plans.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying or Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in cost planning for various projects, including Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and Design and Construct (DNC) across residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors, with contracts preferred at $30 million and above.
  • Proven expertise in managing subcontractor tendering, including hard dollar bids, standards, and procedures.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Solid understanding of overall construction programs and plans.
  • Ability to identify key obligations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in building strong relationships at all levels, with a focus on coaching and mentoring junior staff.
  • Proficient in relevant software packages, including Cost X, JobPac, Cheops, Buildsoft, Procure, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
