Our client, a well-established, Commonwealth-approved aged care provider is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to support the clinical care team in delivering exceptional care to 100 residents at a Thorneside aged care service.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Care Services and Centre Manager , this role is crucial in maintaining high clinical standards. Working as part of a team of two Clinical Nurse Consultants , you will provide expert leadership and oversight while covering alternating later shifts to ensure consistent support across the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support the clinical care team to ensure high standards of resident care.
- Identify and proactively address clinical care challenges .
- Oversee clinical planning, assessments, and resident care management .
- Ensure compliance with aged care standards, regulations, and accreditation requirements .
- Provide education and support to staff, enhancing clinical competency and documentation practices.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for clinical support and advice.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse , with significant clinical experience.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a passion for mentoring and staff development .
- A proven ability to assess, plan, and implement effective clinical care strategies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aged care standards, policies, and compliance requirements .
- The ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Availability for on-call support on a weekly rotating basis .
- Previous experience in Senior RN, Care Coordinator, or Clinical Nurse Consultant roles will be highly regarded.
