You will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining locomotives to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. These roles are ideal for candidates with previous locomotive maintenance experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance on locomotives.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems.
- Ensure maintenance tasks meet industry regulations and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively within a team to maintain operational efficiency.
- Accurately document maintenance work and report any issues.
- Previous experience in locomotive maintenance (preferred).
- Relevant trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or diesel fields.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Rail safety qualifications (desirable).
- Suitable applicants must have unrestricted working rights in Australia and must be able to successfully pass pre-employment checks, including:
- Medical assessment
- Drug & Alcohol screening
- National Police Check
