Waste Truck Drivers

Rapid Force Recruitment has partnered with a couple of reputable multinational waste & recycling companies on the Sunshine Coast to engage experienced HR & HC Drivers for the following ongoing assignment across the Cairns and North Queensland regions.
We are hiring experienced Front Lift and/or Hook Lift/Side Arm truck Drivers and Tanker Drivers to join our clients' teams here in the greater Cairns region. Experience in driving either/or Hook, Front or Rear Lift Trucks or Tankers will be advantageous. All Drivers play an essential role by collecting, carrying and disposing of a range of waste and recyclable materials.

• Duties & Responsibilities
• Driving to various commercial & domestic sites for hook, skip and side arm collections & deliveries.
• Operation of roll on/roll off hook trucks.
• Loading & unloading of skip truck.
• Driving of side arm waste collection.
• Daily pre-starts on all trucks.
• Daily maintenance and safety checks on trucks and equipment
• Completing all paperwork accurately
• Maintaining a professional image for the company at all times
• Whilst experienced operators are always sort. Full training will be provided to suitable applicants that can demonstrate a sound driving history with the transport sector. Previous front lift, rear loader, liquid, crane or hook truck experience is not essential, it is essential and a must that you’re an experienced HR Driver or HC Driver, with a good driving record.

• Some experience operating Tankers.

• Local knowledge of the greater Cairns regions roads is imperative.

These roles are purely not just a driving job where you are stuck in the saddle. You must be fit and healthy and understand that there will be a requirement to be in and out of your truck with multi stops and the pushing and pulling of empty and full bins when where required/needed.

• You’ll need a current license as proof of entitlement to undertake driving work in Australia.
• You’ll eventually undergo a police check and pre-employment medical, including ongoing random drug and alcohol test.
