The Team:

The Department of Health seeks a highly motivated and team orientated Radiation Therapist at the WP Holman Clinic, Hobart, Tasmania. The department has 2 Varian linear accelerators, Canon CT simulator, Eclipse planning system and a Gulmay superficial x-ray unit. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the planning and treatment of patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist under the supervision of a Senior Radiation Therapist or Area Supervisor. Radiation Therapy techniques in use at the WP Holman Clinic include IGRT, VMAT, DIBH, SBRT & SRT.

The Holman Clinic is part of the Cancer and Blood Services stream at the Royal Hobart Hospital, which provides an integrated radiation therapy, medical oncology and haematological service to Southern Tasmania.

The Role:

As a Radiation Therapist at the WP Holman Clinic you'll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out radiation therapy planning and treatment of patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist.
  • Associated duties include patient care, general and technical administration.

Details of appointment:

Multiple permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) positions, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:

$85,011 to $127,700 per annum . Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Radiation Therapists Agreement 2022
  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $125,907 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Allowances:

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • A market allowance of 10% of the base salary is applicable to this role.
