BoomBet is one of Australia's oldest online bookmakers but one of the most exciting.
We have an opening within our team for a Casual Wagering Operator with a guaranteed minimum of two days a week with opportunity for more. Work hours would typically be late afternoon/evenings and weekends.
The Wagering Operator is responsible for providing excellent customer service through live chat, email, and phone. This role involves monitoring customer betting activity, handling betting administration tasks, conducting compliance checks, and performing other ad-hoc betting-related activities. A high performer in this position is detail-oriented, has strong communication skills, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of service.
Previous experience with a bookmaker is not mandatory.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries via live chat, email, and phone.
- Monitor and review customer betting activity to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handle betting administration tasks including processing bets, updating customer accounts, and resolving issues.
- Conduct compliance checks to ensure all betting activities adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with other internal departments including CRM to ensure an integrated experience and resolve errors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the betting or gaming industry.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using customer service software, databases, and tools.
- Understanding of betting and gaming regulations is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if required.
