About the role
Reporting to the Area Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering Trust for Nature’s conservation projects across South Central Victoria. The South Central area encompasses the Greater Melbourne region including the Corangamite and Port Phillip & Westernport Catchments.
In this role, you will be tasked with implementing, monitoring, and evaluating projects that drive strategic biodiversity outcomes, leading a small project delivery team while actively contributing to the execution of projects yourself.

This is a full-time position, open to part time (minimum 4 days) with flexible work arrangements available.
This is a fixed term contract, until December 2026, offering a full-time base salary of $86,242 - $92,790 p.a., plus superannuation. Offer will be commensurate with experience.
The role is based in our Melbourne CBD office and requires travel throughout Victoria, therefore a valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle are required.
About you
We are searching for someone who is experienced in leading and delivering projects. The successful candidate will come with;
- At least 5 years of experience working in the environmental sector.
- Degree in environmental science, natural resource management, or similar/ relevant experience.
- Understanding of conservation principles and practices, including legislation, and knowledge of Victorian Ecological Vegetation Classes, flora and fauna.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including managing risks and budgets, and writing reports.
- Demonstrated People Manager experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including writing reports and communicating project outcomes to multiple audiences via a range of techniques (e.g. presentations, reports).
- Demonstrated experience building stakeholder relationships with agency partners, Traditional Owners, conservation organisations, and community groups.
