Our client, a large and very well funded Federal Government entity is seeking a to join their team in May.
Responsibilities:
- You will oversee managing daily operations of the primary Data Centre, including UPS and AC monitoring.
- Handling rack management, cabling and space optimization, you will co-ordinate with vendors for maintenance, upgrades and compliance, monitoring system performance and utilization through various systems including vROPs and EcoStruxure DCO/DCE.
- You will also enforce security and best practice frameworks to ensure the best possible uptime.
- The department is seeking to progressing a project to upgrade its on-prem data centre infrastructure in the coming months, and you will be a key technical resource to support this project, with overall project management and installation works to be carried out by third parties.
Criteria:
- Ability to deliver day-to-day operation of a Data Centre:
- Rack management and cabling experience.
- Co-ordinate with vendors for maintenance, upgrades and compliance.
- Monitor system performance and utilization through various systems including vROPs and EcoStruxure DCE/DCO.
- Enforce security and best practise frameworks to ensure the best possible uptime.
- Demonstrated ability in delivery of Data Centre upgrades around AC and UPS. Including:
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or ability to undertake research and analysis of, current market offerings
- Ability to provide informed and technically sound insight into pro's and cons of differing systems and technologies
- Ability to produce design, build and operations documents for processes and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Government security frameworks up to a Protected level. Specifically, regarding Essential 8 and the PSPF.
