About the opportunity

This permanent, full-time role offers a unique opportunity to be at the heart of Blacktown City Council's fleet operations, ensuring that vital municipal vehicles remain in pristine condition and ready for service.

As a Workshop Labourer, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining an impressive array of specialised vehicles, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of essential city services. With a focus on meticulous care, operational excellence, and teamwork, this position is ideal for those who take pride in their work and seek to be part of a professional, safety-driven environment.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • School certificate or equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years related work experience
  • Current class “HR” driver’s licence
  • Confined spaces legislation certificate.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,156.81 per week
  • 38-hour working week
  • Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
