eHealth Queensland is seeking an experienced Test Manager with detailed knowledge in health level 7 (HL7) testing for interoperability of health technology, particularly for the integrated electronic Medical Records (ieMR) solution. This will include developing test strategies, test plans and test scripts in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. You will provide expertise in testing strategies, which will reduce defects found after implementation and will provide quality assurance that risks associated with implementing clinical and critical application platforms are accurately quantified and validated to ensure systems are fit for purpose, appropriately integrated, and meet business requirements.

The role:
Digital Health & Business Solutions (DHBS) has multiple programs of work. Among these are the continued rollout of the integrated Electronic Medical Record (iEMR) to hospitals within Queensland. Additionally, it continues to deliver enhancements to the iEMR via optimisation projects to enable improved functionality for consumers and users of the iEMR.

You will be responsible for directing and managing the planning of system, acceptance, integration and performance for clinical and critical application projects comprised of ieMR solutions integrated with upstream and downstream systems utilising the HL7 messaging, with associated critical dependent systems, to ensure the successful delivery of the solution.

This exciting role is responsible for managing the test strategy and all related test activities to enable the implementation of large scale and complex Information Management (IM)/Information Communications Technology (ICT) technical solutions. The role will also provide specialist testing advice to key stakeholders of varying seniority whilst ensuring alignment with the Queensland Health ICT Testing Policy and the Definitions for ICT Testing Metrics Standard.

Is this opportunity for you?
To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate:
• Demonstrated in-depth experience in working in clinical and critical application platforms including ieMR with HL7 and other clinical messaging services.
• Experience in the definition, management and planning of all testing activities within a large, complex IM/ICT technical solutions, ideally within a public sector health environment.
• Experience in the management of all phases of testing, including plans, resources, costs, timescales, test deliverables and auditability for large, complex IM/ICT program/project(s)
• Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of required testing activities.
• Demonstrated excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of testing requirements within a complex IM/ICT environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team.

The following experience, while not mandatory, would be highly regarded:
• Stakeholder management experience with a Hospital and Health Service (HHS).
• Experience working with enterprise integration platform and messaging protocols.
• Experience in clinical business divisions with accredited certifications and expertise API/reporting.
