THE ROLE

The role involves managing staff in the Placement Coordination team. You will be responsible for overseeing the facilitation of Out of Home Care planning and the development of care options for children in the Child Protection program. You will work closely with Child Protection, Community Service Organisations and sector partners to develop safe nurturing and stable placement arrangements

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

• Lead a team in providing or contributing to authoritative and expert advice and recommendations consistent with organisational goals and values.
• Manage the allocation of resources within and the outputs required of the work area to achieve service delivery goals and expectations.
• Effectively supervise and provide leadership to a team of employees by:
– leading and supporting individuals to achieve their potential and contribution to organisational goals and outcomes
– modelling behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values
