We now have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to expand and deepen their knowledge by overseeing and supervising a dedicated team in our new trucks service team.
You will be required to
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards, fully and efficiently the first time
- Ensure technicians produce clear and concise reports detailing all work carried out
- Test drive / complete inspections of work in accordance with the pre delivery check sheet
- Maintain and monitor the booking diary and schedule and prioritise additional work throughout the day
- Conduct audits to ensure the highest standards of quality is maintained
- Ensure that the workshop area, tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained to a high standard at all times
- Work as part of a team to maintain company standards for productivity, technician efficiency and recovery rates
- Provide labour and time estimates for each job and complete all required paperwork
- Assist with the rostering of staff and scheduling of work in the department
- Develop, train and support technicians and apprentices ensuring that regular communication is provided and distributed in relation to technical and OHS bullets
- Engage and communicate with customers at time of repair and follow up repairs on a routine basis
- Practice and promote all WHS regulations ensuring standard operating procedures are adhered to
- Assist with management of the department in the absence of Service Managers across both shifts
- Previous supervision skills / experience, preferred
- Experience as a Heavy Vehicle Technician with required trade certificate / qualification
- Current HR licence
- High level of problem solving / diagnostic skills
- Excellent ability to impart acquired knowledge to both technicians and apprentices
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
- Attention to detail with a customer focus
