The Pharmacist Senior position is responsible for the provision, development, and evaluation of quality pharmaceutical services for the Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service. We are seeking someone with demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills that support a positive working environment and a collaborative approach to working in a multidisciplinary team and with other services and key stakeholders.

About us:

Located in the Aboriginal Community of Woorabinda, 175 km south west of Rockhampton, the Woorabinda MPHS, provides first line, health care for the people of Woorabinda and surrounding rural population. 63 Medical, Nursing, Allied Health, Operational and Administrative staff provide: 24-hour Accident and Emergency care, Hospital Inpatient care, Residential Aged Care, Community Home Support services, Community Maternal and Child Health Services, Community and Public Health Services (including school health services), Community Alcohol and Drug and Mental Health Services, and Community Chronic Disease Services (including Renal Dialysis).

About the role:

The Pharmacist – Senior position is responsible for the provision, development, and evaluation of quality pharmaceutical services for the Woorabinda MPHS.

About you:

  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical pharmacy services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
  • Demonstrated ability or ability to rapidly acquire the skill to provide guidance to less experienced staff members and education to students.
  • Undertake high level pharmacist duties across the Woorabinda MPHS with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision and in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Assure the reliable and evidenced based operation of outpatient, inpatient, Residential and Community Aged Care, and culturally appropriate, high quality community pharmacy services to the Woorabinda Community.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $13,113 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
