The Parliamentary Administration Act 2005 and the Parliamentary Officers (Non-Executive Staff – Victoria) Single Enterprise Agreement will be revised during 2025 and is a nexus agreement to the Victorian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement. It is anticipated that the revised salary range for Grade 5.1 will be $109,730 – $121,247
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, you'll play a key role in driving high-quality, strategic procurement across the parliamentary departments. From providing trusted advice, managing complex sourcing activities, building stakeholder capability and shaping procurement systems, you'll deliver outcomes that are transparent, efficient, and aligned with organisational priorities.
This isn't a repetitive, transactional role – you'll work across a diverse range of goods and services that reflect the unique operating environment of Parliament. From IT, HR, Buildings & Grounds, Security, Broadcast, Libraries, and Catering – no two procurements are the same. You'll work with people from a broad mix of professional backgrounds, giving you the chance to connect with, learn from, and relate to colleagues with diverse perspectives and experiences.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in procurement ensuring best value for money, with the ability to manage complex contracts and manage probity in tendering and contracts.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide authoritative procurement and contract management advice to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated written communication skills, with the ability to prepare complex procurement and technical documents.
- Demonstrated research, analytical and conceptual skills with strong Microsoft Excel and Word capability. MS Power BI skills and experience are desirable, but not essential.
- Strong experience in negotiations with an ability to influence others with diplomacy, tact and discretion.
