We are looking for a talented, creative Sous Chef to lead and capture the very essence of our culinary vision. Our main restaurant - Bang brings the “cafe dining” experience of Fitzroy while introducing a hip Bangkok culinary scene through the eyes of The Standard. It is "Bang on flavors" - whether it be a casual breakfast, brunch or divine dinner - it is a must go-to destination for the creative community of Fitzroy and beyond.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Have pride in your work and showcase your passion for food delivering consistent, high quality cuisine.
- Possess great people skills - managing, supporting, coaching and training the team to produce great results even in the most stressful situation.
- Support the Executive Chef with menu development ensuring that all recipes are tested and costed.
- Ensure that the storage of fresh, frozen and dry goods is secure, controlled, properly rotated and and in line with safe handling practices.
- Ensure that controls and checks are in place and followed in respect to food and wage costs and in line with operating budgets.
- Manage stock takes and internal audits.
- Ensure that all areas of the kitchen and storage areas are safe, clean and hygenic at all times.
- Ability to thrive in a busy high-volume, high-energy kitchen environment and can manage multiple tasks with ease.
- Demonstrate professional culinary & food safety skills and qualifications.
- Display a highly motivated and pro-active attitude, act with professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
- Comply with all Hotel Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant occupational Health and safety procedures including a knowledge of HACCP.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- Innovative and creative approach to cooking.
- Experience with Asian cuisine.
- Hold appropriate qualifications in commercial cookery.
- Thrive in a busy, team environment.
- Be a good communicator and open to sharing feedback and ideas.
- Flexible with working hours including weekends.
