This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.The Role The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimize international supply chain operations, ensuring seamless procurement, production, and distribution. This role requires expertise in global logistics, supplier negotiation, and inventory management, with a strong background in textiles, apparel, or a similar industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Supplier & Manufacturing Partnerships
* Develop and manage relationships with offshore manufacturers to ensure quality and cost-effective production.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to maintain efficient supply chain operations.
* Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Logistics & Customs Compliance
* Oversee international freight arrangements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Manage customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with global trade regulations.
* Collaborate with logistics providers to resolve any shipping or regulatory challenges.
* Quality Control & Production Oversight
* Implement rigorous quality control measures, conducting inspections to maintain product standards.
* Coordinate production schedules with manufacturers to meet business demands and deadlines.
* Address production delays or quality issues proactively with suppliers.
* Inventory Management & Product Strategy
* Monitor and optimize inventory levels, minimizing excess stock while ensuring product availability.
* Analyze inventory trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and development.
* Work closely with the product development team to bring new offerings to market.
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience in international supply chain management, preferably within textiles, apparel, or a similar sector.
* Strong negotiation skills and a track record of optimizing supplier relationships.
* Expertise in freight management, customs compliance, and global logistics.
* Proficiency in inventory management systems and supply chain software.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
