The Role An exciting opportunity has become available for a Business Development Manager to join iQuip! You will be the face of the company, driving business growth across NSW and ACT by building relationships, securing deals, introducing new products, and expanding into related industries like tiling and hardware.
With head office located in Melbourne, this position will be remote, based out of Sydney.
Key Responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will have experience in strategically planning client meetings, setting clear objectives, and effectively engaging with decision-makers to drive business growth. You will be experienced in capturing key insights, maintaining detailed records in a CRM, and providing data-driven reports that support ongoing business development efforts.
* Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and accounts.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct meaningful, well-planned sales visits with comprehensive reporting.
* Support existing distributors with excellent customer service.
* Represent iQuip at trade events to promote products.
* Conduct product training for store staff and clients.
* Negotiate deals and introduce new products to independent and franchise stores.
* Build and manage strong relationships with existing accounts.
* Track and follow up on leads, opportunities, and quotes.
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar face-to-face B2B sales role (preferably wholesale).
* A driven and passionate sales professional who excels at building new business and nurturing client relationships.
* Practical mindset with a strong understanding of building products, ideally with experience in the construction or trade sector.
* Strong business acumen and a genuine passion for sales, helping SMEs find tailored product solutions.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and a team player who takes initiative.
* Thrives on closing deals and delivering great customer outcomes.
* Ability to travel across NSW and ACT, approx. 25 nights away from home per year.
* Energetic, friendly, and results-driven with a "get things done" attitude.
* Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.
* Ambitious, driven, and hungry for success.
