Our client has been a highly respected and trusted provider of aged care, disability, child and family services across the mid-north Coast. Due to ongoing growth we currently have an opportunities for Paediatric Physiotherapists to join their team in Port Macquarie and Macksville locations. The position is responsible for providing service provision to children with a disability or developmental delay and their families, to promote development, well- being and community participation. The role will operate in partnership with parents/caregivers, families, and other significant stakeholders to enhance their knowledge, skills and supports to meet the needs of the child.
Key responsibilities:
- Work within a trans-disciplinary team to provide an Early Intervention service focused on child and family goals and priorities delivered within both universal and specialist support services.
- Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment to clients of the target group.
- Plan, implement and evaluate Physiotherapy related programs.
- Monitor, evaluate and clearly define child goals to ensure service effectiveness and continuous improvements through regular review.
- Assess clients for hydrotherapy, strength training, water exercise and other treatment and physical activity groups.

- Conduct hydrotherapy and strength training sessions as required
- Provide education to clients.
- Consult and liaise with internal stake holders and other agencies who also work with this target group, to develop a comprehensive approach to service provision.
- Maintain electronic health records, documentation, and statistics according to policy.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- Registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience and demonstrable knowledge in the delivery of services within Early Intervention for children and families following best practice guidelines.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in play skills, behaviour management and parent education.
- Working experience and knowledge in childhood development and strategies to facilitate early childhood development within a range of settings.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with specialist therapeutic and child/family support agencies to assist children and families with more complex needs to develop and implement an individualised intervention plan.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other professionals to enhance the supports provided to children and families.
- A commitment to family centered practice and maximising the opportunities and support provided through generic early childhood services.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills and Computer literacy including a proficiency in the use of client management systems.
- Current Driver’s licence and ability to access own vehicle
