We’re offering a 12-month fixed-term contract for a passionate and skilled Mechanical Designer to join our supportive engineering team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in bringing ideas to life by creating detailed mechanical models, drawings, and documents. Your contributions will help our team efficiently and effectively design, purchase, and assemble the components needed for success.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

Create and Innovate: You’ll plan and develop high-quality CAD models and drawings based on provided information using Inventor and AutoCAD.

Problem Solving: You’ll analyze design challenges and come up with practical, purposeful solutions.

Collaborate: Work closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure all design and drafting requirements are met, sharing ideas and supporting one another.

Continuous Improvement: Use your understanding of manufacturing processes to find ways to simplify designs and make fabrication more efficient.
We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have:

A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related qualification.

Solid experience using Inventor, Vault, and AutoCAD.

Experience with steel fabrication, heavy industry equipment design and drafting. Bonus points if you’ve worked in a workshop environment!

Strong attention to detail with a methodical, organized approach.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities.

Clear communicator with effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
