Description:
Provide support during outings, helping clients recreate connections with others and assist in facilitating their participation in activities. Wellness Volunteers support our organisation in enhancing the well-being and community connections of isolated seniors. This role involves transporting clients to and from outings, assisting with food orders, and accompanying clients during various activities.Volunteering as a Wellness Volunteer can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you assist as well as yourself. Volunteering can give you a sense of achievement and is a great way to meet new people which will help you feel more connected with your community.
Wellness Volunteers will receive a comprehensive induction and orientation. You will also receive a detailed Work Health and Safety (WHS) briefing. On-the-job training, including manual handling training, will be provided, along with ongoing coaching and supervision to ensure you can excel in your role and feel supported.
