Kitchen Hand/General Service Officer/ Cook
South Coast Private Hospital, owned and operated by Aurora Health, is a Private, non-acute, Premium Mental Health facility located in the Wollongong CBD.

South Coast Private Hospital is currently seeking a casual General Services Officer/Kitchen Hand, with a minimum of 2 years commercial cooking experience, to work within our busy team of kitchen staff under the supervision of our Head Chef.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria

2 years minimum commercial cooking experience

Participate in every aspect of delivery of patient and doctors meals as directed

Receive and pack away deliveries- heavy lifting may be required

Rotation of stock

Undertake checks on temperature controlled equipment, defrosting refrigerators, cleaning chemical cage, cool room and other kitchen cleaning

Correct handling and storage of all food in accordance with hospital policies and legislative requirements

Promote excellence in customer service & treat all people at the hospital as guests

Be well presented with a high standard of personal hygiene

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Must be mature and be team orientated

Must have current and valid work rights in Australia

Availability to work at short notice may be required

Must be available to work weekends

Must be committed to adhere to Hospital Vaccination Policy
The successful applicant will be required to provide a National Criminal History Check that is less than 3 months old.
