Aspirante is assisting a QLD government department in their search for a highly skilled and proactive Senior ICT Operations Specialist to oversee the daily operational requirements of a dynamic and fast-paced 24/7 environment. This role involves ensuring the ongoing support, maintenance, and operational functioning of critical infrastructure, while also leading and mentoring a team of specialists. - Infrastructure Management
Oversee, monitor, and support all aspects of technical infrastructure, including virtual and physical servers, networks, and ICT security. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for complex escalations. - Team Leadership
Prioritize team workflow, provide guidance to colleagues on technical and process improvements, and resolve advanced or escalated issues in a timely manner. - Service Delivery & Continuous Improvement
Manage and monitor systems to ensure high performance and availability. Analyze operational data to develop recommendations that enhance capacity, performance, and service delivery. - Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate vendor performance and escalate service-level concerns when necessary. - Technical Documentation
Develop and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and procedures to ensure the team and organization follow consistent best practices. - 24/7 Support
Participate in occasional after-hours work (e.g., system patching) to maintain uninterrupted service delivery.
- Proven support experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud deployment and management
- Microsoft Server administration (MCSE certification is desirable)
- Practical expertise with SCCM/Intune and SharePoint
- Understanding of LAN, DHCP, and DNS networking principles
- Familiarity with ITIL Service Management frameworks
- Analytical & Problem-Solving : Adept at diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and designing effective solutions.
- Communication : Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration & Relationship-Building : Able to develop productive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors.
