About the role
Deliver high level social work assessments and evidence-based interventions as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team to consumers (and their carers) of the Child and Youth Mental Health Service - Acute Response Team (RC-ART) (Redcliffe & Caboolture) who experience a mental health crisis. This temporary position will take a lead role in the development, implementation, and sustainability of brief interventions for young people and families accessing RC-ART. MNMH is committed to implementation of Project Air and this role will assist the Team Leader in implementation and sustainability of Project Air within RC-ART.
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- As a member of the multidisciplinary team, deliver high level mental health and social work clinical services to consumers with complex mental health, alcohol and other drug treatment needs, based on valid and reliable evidence, in accordance with professional practice, ethical and mental health standards to ensure culturally appropriate consumer focused outcomes.
- Provide leadership in the integration and co-ordination between different aspects of the service in order to facilitate the delivery of an efficient and highly responsive CYMHS service to the public.
- Provide clinical leadership and participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement and research activities within the Mental Health Service that continually improve consumer care and enhance the delivery of services within a multidisciplinary team and the service. This role will have a focus on brief intervention processes and practices within RC-ART, including implementation of Project Air.
