What you’ll do

As a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the discipline through excellence in teaching, clinical supervision, and research. In this position, you will deliver high-quality postgraduate teaching while providing clinical supervision to students, helping them develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their field. Your contributions will directly enhance the learning experience, drive the School’s academic achievements, and support the University’s mission to deliver impactful research and education.

  • Deliver engaging and innovative teaching to postgraduate students, integrating current industry practices and evidence-based approaches.
  • Provide quality clinical supervision to postgraduate students, supporting their practical development and readiness for professional practice.
  • Actively supervise honours and postgraduate research projects, contributing to the success of student outcomes.
  • Develop and initiate research aligned with the University’s areas of strength, producing high-quality outputs.

What will help you succeed

Key to your success in this role will be your relevant formal qualifications in Psychology and high quality student-centred teaching and clinical supervision at a tertiary level. Additionally, you will have:

  • Registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and experience in psychological practice and clinical supervision;
  • teaching and research expertise in psychology;
  • experience in delivering engaged and reflective approaches to teaching that produce the best possible outcomes for students; and
  • High-level oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, relating well to people at all levels using diplomacy, tact, and sound judgement, with an ability to build constructive and effective relationships.

Term: Full-time continuing appointment (37.5 hrs/week)

Salary: Total Remuneration range of $128,506 to $151,889 pa (includes salary range of $108,581 to $128,339 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17%, and annual leave loading)
