Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to lead the strategic management, implementation, and oversight of purchasing, storage, and distribution processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing supply chain operations to meet the demands of our expanding business. We are looking for someone with a proven background in supply chain management, capable of developing cost-effective solutions while maintaining high operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Plan and implement actions to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing operational costs.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Supervise and assess storage and inventory systems to guarantee alignment with supply requirements and inventory control.
- Oversee tracking systems for the movement of goods, ensuring timely reordering and restocking when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to coordinate supply requirements and transportation logistics.
- Monitor and ensure accurate recording of purchasing, storage, and distribution transactions to uphold accountability and transparency.
- Lead, mentor, and manage staff to ensure tasks are completed in compliance with established standards and within designated timelines.
- Ensure the timely availability of products and services to meet customer and client demands.
Experience & Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or distribution, is desired for this fast-paced job role.
- Relevant degree qualifications in related role highly desired, with proven leadership and strategic operational skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiations and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong proficiency in inventory management and logistics systems.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to foster cross-departmental collaboration and ensure seamless operational processes.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on cost reduction while maintaining optimal stock levels.
