Key responsibilities
Deliver assigned work and provide accurate procurement advice and information in alignment with departmental procurement policy and processes.
Monitor and review end to end procurement activity implementation including procurement planning and documentation, evaluation, contract documentation, supply arrangements establishment and maintenance.
Provide accurate and professional advice and support to staff regarding end to end procurement activity.
Liaise, negotiate and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement processes, procedures, training and delegations.
Assist staff with contract management and reporting.
Contribute to the identification and implementation of initiatives to improve procurement processes and activities including assisting with establishing and maintaining systems, tracking and reporting to support the team objectives.
Support complex procurement projects by undertaking administrative support functions as directed by the Senior Advisor (Procurement) including reporting on progress and outcomes.
Manage the administrative side of assets and managed items, including sourcing, stock take, useful life review and disposal.
Actively contribute to effective team operation and participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.
This position has a level 4 procurement delegation.
Acts in accordance with the Queensland Public Service legislative framework and Code of Conduct. Models' ethical behaviour and consistently applies those ethical standards to self and others.

Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Requirements of the role
Applies an understanding of procurement policies, procedures and procurement planning to independently undertake strategic and tactical procurement activities.
Demonstrates careful planning and organisation to achieve results, whilst implementing reporting mechanisms to track progress.
Analyses information to proactively identify risks, evaluates possible solutions to mitigate these and demonstrates persistence working through these obstacles.
Communicates in a succinct manner, with an adaptable approach depending on the stakeholder.
Shares creative ideas, suggestions and data to inform the delivery of services and the design of new solutions.
