We are on the look out for the following Level 2 technicians / engineers:
To engage two (2) x Waterfront Support Officers (WSO) to provide immediate Waterfront support to Pacific Systems Program Office (PACSPO). The WSO will provide the necessary support to the existing PACSPO sustainment team in Cairns shipyard precinct. These positions will provide direct waterfront support to the vessels in maintenance and/or repair, conducting physical vessel inspections and oversight of quality management and assurance of vessel maintenance

PACSPO Waterfront Statement of Work
1.1 The Service Provider shall provide Project Support Officers to the Commonwealth. The required services will include the following:
  • actively participate in planning, strategies, scheduling, and estimating of work/tasks to meet Defence requirements;
  • prepare project documentation and/or assist with the review and clearance processes for project documentation;
  • prepare weekly reporting and complete administration ;
  • co-ordination and management of project control registers for dependencies, risks and issues, change control, actions etc;
  • liaising and co-ordination of stakeholders internally and externally in a multi-vendor environment.
1.2 The Service Provider shall provide Project Support Officers to deliver some or all of the following during the GCPB 30M and 60M External Maintenance Periods (EMP):
  • Validation of Emergent Work requirements.
  • Review & approval of Objective Quality Evidence for all EMP works.
  • Track and report Baseline and Emergent Works expenditure.
  • Development of Main Work Lists.
  • Liaise with Australian Navy Representatives and Foreign Nationals.
  • Attend & Participate in all meetings relevant for EMP’s.
  • Recording of all correspondence.
  • Development of reports & summaries to Executive Stakeholders.
  • Give freely of your experience and assist colleagues.
  • Align to the APS Values & Code of Conduct.
1.3 The Service Provide shall provide Project Support Officers with the following Skills:
Mandatory:
  • Technical qualifications at or above a Certificate IV in a relevant field, or relevant qualifications as a Vessel Master (Master Class 3).
  • Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • 5 or more years in a related industry role.
  • Hold a current Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain.
  • Current valid Australian Drivers Licence.
Desirable:
  • Marine Experience
  • Shipyard Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • CMMS Experience
  • Financial management experience
