Direct Care Support Worker - Volunteering Gold Coast
CASUAL $33.50p/hour

We are looking for people who are committed to promoting and supporting the individual needs of clients, can communicate effectively, and can maintain professional working relationships. We apply a person-centered approach, ensuring that the delivery of services promotes the recipient’s well-being by increasing feelings of independence, empowerment, and autonomy.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will be supporting a caseload of clients in the Gold Coast region, delivering direct care and assistance as you work collaboratively to achieve goals identified by each client. Through a personalized approach, you will ensure the service is tailored to meet their unique needs, promoting long-term independence and enhancing their overall well-being.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Mandatory:
- Current unrestricted QLD driver's licence, clean driving record, and access to a registered and insured vehicle,
- Current First Aid and CPR (training provided for new/out-of-date qualifications),
- Blue and Yellow card,
- Experience in a direct care role, personally and/or professionally,
- A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of clients,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
- Dependability and punctuality.
Desirable:
- A qualification in a relevant area/field or lived experience,
- An understanding of the Queensland Community Support Scheme.
