About the opportunity
The University of Tasmania is investing in a new Research Management Platform (RMP) to streamline and enhance research and support researchers to make a difference. The new RMP will underpin contemporary best practice research governance, alignment with the Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research, Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC) and Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) reporting compliance and are being delivered by the Research Management Platform Project.
We are looking for a Project Officer to support project administration during the critical final stages of the RMP project (April 2025 – 31 August 2025).
What you’ll do:
- Assist in the creation and implementation of content for training materials, intranet updates and key stakeholder communications.
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive suite of project documentation and procedural information.
- Administration and monitoring of sprint task management and planning, go-live planning, vendor progress reporting and Integrity IQ release update change log reconciliation.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication and engagement throughout the project.
- Preparation of Steering Committee, Smart Services and other key stakeholder presentations as needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated previous experience working in an administrative role in a university and/or project environment.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including experience preparing and delivering agendas, minutes, reports and briefing papers for senior management.
- Effective writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, interesting and relevant content for a variety of audiences.
- Advanced skills in the use of appropriate software including the Microsoft Office suite of products, with a commitment to data quality, data integrity, continuous improvement and attention to detail.
- Highly developed organisational skills to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines and with accuracy.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $113,029 comprising base salary within the range of $89,091 to $96,606 plus 17% superannuation.
