We have a full-time opportunity for a Filtration/Protein Fractionation Technician to join the team based near Longford.
About the role:
The Filtration/Protein Fractionation Technician works as part of a small production team, responsible for the final processing of serum and/or animal and/or animal derived products for biotechnology and/or pharmacological applications.
Our production environment is unique, and the duties vary throughout each day. The specific activities of the Filtration/Protein Fractionation Technician role include:

Filtrations and extraction and purification processes, including cleaning duties, all of which are to be carried out according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Routine monitoring and maintenance/calibration of facility equipment and services.
In this role you'll be part of a rotating roster that includes morning and afternoon shifts, typically working 8-hour shifts. There is flexibility in your schedule, allowing for adjustments to production runs are completed ahead of time. Additional hours may be necessary to address any production issues that arise. Generally, your work week will be Monday to Friday.

Commencing on a casual basis, there is the opportunity for someone who demonstrates a good work ethic and ability to perform the role to transition quickly to full-time, permanent employment.
Selbourne is based on Pateena Road, a short commute to Longford, Cressy, Perth, Evandale or Launceston free parking is available onsite.
About you:
We are a small company with a small production team, we need the right piece of the puzzle to join the team.
We are looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, with a good work ethic and a team player. No previous experience required, all training will be provided, although exposure to production environments operating under quality systems such as GMP is an advantage. A forklift license would be a bonus.

Candidates must have the ability to be flexible within the team, with varied hours and able to work mornings, afternoons and nights, as required to meet production schedules.
You will work on your feet for long periods and need to lift up to 25kg. Candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical prior to appointment.
