The School
Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching middle school Design and Technology with experience working with a variety of materials including timber, metal and acrylic.

Key duties include:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover Design & Technology concepts, techniques, and methodologies.
- Utilise modern Design and Technology facilities to enhance student learning.
- Expertise in working with a range of materials including timber and metal, alongside proficiency with specialised tools and processes including joinery, welding and finishing techniques.
- Incorporate CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining, plasma cutting, and other advanced technologies into teaching programs.
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and assessment to support students’ technical and creative development.
- Ensure a safe and compliant learning environment, managing all risk and safety protocols in the Technology Workshop.
What we are looking for
- Hold appropriate teaching qualifications with a specialisation in Design & Technology.
- Hold registration with the TRB.
- Have experience in teaching middle school Design and Technology. The flexibility to teach Digital Technology will be advantageous.
- Be able to engage and inspire students through practical, hands-on learning experiences.
- Demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard tools and technology used in design and fabrication.
- Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety in a workshop environment.
The successful candidate must have a:
- Current DHS Working with Children Check.
- Current Reporting Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Training certificate.
- Current Protective Practices certificate.
- Current First Aid qualifications (HLTAID009, HLTAID010, and HLTAID012)
