We are seeking a Medical Administrator/Medical Screener for immediate start to join our team and help us continue to provide first-class support to our clients, candidates, and stakeholders.

As part of our expansion, we have Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time positions available across multiple locations: Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.

The Role

The Medical Administrator/Medical Screener will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service while providing high-level administrative support for Jem Health’s pre-employment assessment services. This position requires an individual with excellent organisational skills, a high standard of client care, and a proactive approach to administrative tasks.

Your role will involve supporting the scheduling and coordination of employment-related health and medical assessments, assisting with medical results management, and conducting key occupational health assessments. You’ll work closely with a team of health professionals to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality service in a timely and efficient manner.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Reception & Customer Service: Provide professional, friendly service to clients, candidates, and stakeholders; manage incoming calls and emails; greet visitors and ensure a seamless experience
  • Booking & Scheduling: Accurately manage the booking system for pre-employment medical assessments, ensuring timely processing and follow-ups
  • Medical Results Management: Process and submit medical results within established timelines, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy policies
  • Conducting Medical Assessments: Perform Drug and Alcohol testing, Audiometry (Hearing) testing, and Spirometry (Lung Function) testing, following Jem Health procedures
  • General Administration: Maintain accurate records, monitor stock levels, and ensure equipment is in good working order

About You:

  • Current and maintained First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • Exceptional time management, organisation, and the ability to work autonomously
  • Positive and adaptable attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A client-focused approach, with a strong emphasis on achieving high outcomes
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, candidates, and internal teams
  • Intermediate computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in all situations

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in a similar role or industry is desired but not required. Full training will be provided to all successful applicants
  • Previous experience or certification in Audiometry, Spirometry, or Drug & Alcohol testing
  • Experience working in Occupational Health or a Health Science qualification is an advantage
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred for candidates that may be required to travel from clinic to clinic
