Position Summary:
The Community Projects Supervisor responsible for supporting job seekers to participate in training and project activities that are being delivered by Kalano Community Association. This will involve building positive relationships and good communication with job seekers. They shall be responsible for the provision of a culturally appropriate service to all job seekers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop constructive relationships with Jobseekers, Employers and CDP Supports Officers to ensure that clear accountability and communication are established to support the employment outcomes for Jobseekers. Follow work procedures as directed by the CDP Activity Coordinator to achieve operational and program objectives.Engaging referred job seekers and raising awareness of the services provided through Community Projects. Organise transport to participants in a range of activitiesMonitor the progress and attendance of job seekers in Community Projects Report all activities of a job seeker to the Community Projects Support OfficerAssist and drive the future development of the Swag ProgramWork collaboratively with other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to all tasks.Work closely with the CDP team and clients to co-design activities/plans that reflect their interests and contribute to their well-beingMaintain clear, respectful communication with management, colleagues, clients, families, and the broader community, in alignment with Kalano’s values of Transparency and Communication.Attend team meetings and participate in staff development opportunities as required.Renumeration & Benefits

Salary Range: $33.9112 per hour (Plus Casual loading & other applicable allowances)
Location: Main Admin Site — Pathways Office
Hours of work: Day work
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
• Certificate Il in Community Services (or willing to obtain)
• Relevant to the employment industry
• Working with Indigenous people and communities
Essential Competencies (knowledge, skills and attributes):
• Experience working in the community development/employment industry.
• Understanding of CDP guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Understanding of the cultural needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work empathetically with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Good time management and punctuality.
• Demonstrated ability to organise, facilitate, and participate in a variety of client-centred activities.
• Strong administrative skills, including use of various IT equipment, devices and software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to act creatively and proactively.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
