Do you love working outdoors and take pride in keeping green spaces looking their best? Do you love the idea of enjoying your work day and working in a team that values a positive work culture? We're looking for Grounds Maintainers to join us in helping keep the Point Walter Precinct in top shape! We currently have 3 permanent roles to fill immediately.
About You

You enjoy working in the fresh air and don’t mind getting your hands dirty.

You love early mornings! This role runs from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, ideal for those who like to get a head start on the day, finish early and enjoy the free afternoons.

You have experience in sports turf management, horticulture or a similar field.
-
You’re confident operating and maintaining mowers, whipper snippers, chainsaws, and other groundskeeping equipment.
-
You have a strong eye for detail and take pride in creating high-quality playing surfaces.
-
You work well in a team but can also take initiative and work independently.
-
Bonus points if you have experience in reticulation maintenance, herbicide application or first aid!
About the Opportunity
Enjoy the variety of work in this role where you will work with state of the art facilities and equipment!

Maintain and care for golf course turf, including fairways, greens and bunkers.
-
Use a range of equipment to mow, core, top-dress and maintain playing surfaces.
-
Carry out tree maintenance, planting, fertilising, pruning and weed control.

Assist with irrigation system repairs and monitoring.
-
Keep recreational areas clean and safe, including netball courts and the mountain bike facility.

Perform general maintenance duties like rubbish collection and small equipment operation.
-
Contribute to a safe, high-quality work environment by following safety procedures and reporting hazards.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essential

Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
-
Sports Turf Management Certificate, Horticulture Certificate or equivalent experience in the same or similar discipline

White Card

Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
