The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months. Please refer to the WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program website for eligibility criteria.

Position Profile:
Midwife: The primary responsibility of the Midwife is to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based midwifery care for clients within the scope of practice of a Midwife. To provide clinical supervision for Newly Qualified Midwives and students, dependant on level of experience.
Midwife – Caseload: To provide competent, holistic, evidence-based midwifery care within the scope of a Midwife, within a caseload model of care (known as Midwife Group Practice). Provides continuity of midwifery care throughout the continuum of pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postnatal period.
