The Role
As the company looks to expand their team for the new year, a position for a factory foreman has become available.
In This Role, You Will
Assist in managing a team of cabinet makers, apprentices, and other workshop staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Help to plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet deadlinesMaintain quality assurance, monitor and ensure all products meet the company’s quality standardsEnforce workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.Mentor and support team members, providing training to enhance skills and maintain industry best practices.Address and resolve production challenges, minimizing downtime and maintaining workflow continuity.Report to the director on production progress, issues, and solutions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in cabinet making, with a strong understanding of production techniques, materials, and finishes.Leadership experience in a cabinet factory desirable but not essentialAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Strong organizational and time management skills.Hands-on problem-solving abilities with a focus on pro-active measures and continuous improvement.Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment.Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a team.
