Role Purpose

We are now seeking a Dewatering Technician with at least 2 years’ experience. The purpose of this role is to ensure reliable, efficient, and sustainable operations through the installation and maintenance of dewatering infrastructure. We have 3 active bore fields we need to maintain while ensuring we have adequate water available for the processing plant operations. We have a mixture of trailer mounted suction, multi-stage bore & centrifugal pumps on site. This position would suit a self-starter who enjoys autonomy and problem solving.

The role will be offered on an 8/6 roster from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities:

  • Troubleshoot pump and piping solutions on site and perform routine maintenance.
  • Construct, monitor and maintain de-watering equipment (wells, pipelines, meters and pressure gauges) pump curve calculation.
  • Install bore pump systems and bypasses and removal of pumps.
  • Setting up in pit sump pumps
  • Make repairs to water pipelines (polyweld if required)
  • Fuel and service pumping equipment.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Poly welding ticket
  • Telehandler, IT loader, CN and LF tickets
  • Current Australian driver's license -preferable HR Licence
  • Flexible and versatile attitude
  • Work autonomously in remote locations.
  • Must hold working rights in Australia.
  • Trade qualifications highly regarded.
