ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Current Working with Children Card
-
Current First Aid [HTLAID012] in an Education and Care setting [includes asthma and anaphylaxis] or willing to obtain
-
Qualification of Diploma of Children’s Services, Early Childhood Teacher or equivalent, for the right person we would consider working towards this qualification
-
Extensive skills, knowledge and experience with the Education and Services National Law and Regulations [WA]
-
Effective leadership, people management skills and the ability to work unassisted
-
Reliable and displays emotional maturity and resilience
-
High level of communication skills, both verbal and written
-
Working rights in Australia and willing to undertake background checks
-
Can working rotating shifts between 6:30am to 6:00pm
-
Minimum 24 months experience working as a room leader
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
-
Lead the room and work in collaboration in the development and implementation of the program and day-to-day operation of our rooms, in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework

Collaborate with the Educational Leader and Director to develop, implement, and assess the educational program and Centre procedures, providing a high-quality program for all children and families
-
assist all staff in meeting the needs, supervision, health, and safety of all children
-
promote the highest standard of care for children in accordance with the National Quality Standards

Implement and maintain the room's routine and Service procedures
-
Meet the needs, supervision, health and safety of all children
-
Foster positive relationships with children and families
-
Document children's skills and interests and maintaining a cycle of reflective practice
