The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, and dependable individual to join our fast-paced and dynamic Distribution Centre (DC) team in the key role of Warehouse Operator . In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods, from receiving and organizing inventory to picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Unloading Shipments: Inspecting, unloading, and verifying incoming stock against purchase orders or shipping documents to ensure accuracy and quality.

  • Inventory Management: Organising, storing, and managing inventory in designated areas, performing regular stock checks, and using inventory management systems to track product quantities.

  • Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and preparing orders based on customer requests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in order preparation.

  • Shipping & Dispatch: Labelling, organising, and preparing outgoing shipments for timely dispatch, coordinating with shipping carriers, and ensuring the safe transport of goods.

  • Maintaining Safety Standards: Adhering to all safety protocols, such as wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe handling practices for equipment and products, and keeping the warehouse clean and hazard-free.

  • Equipment Operation: Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other machinery to move stock efficiently around the warehouse.

  • Data Entry & Reporting: Using warehouse management software to enter data, track inventory levels, and report any discrepancies or issues with stock.

  • Quality Control: Inspecting products for damage, ensuring that items are in good condition before shipment, and managing returns or damaged goods.

  • Team Collaboration: Working alongside other warehouse staff and management to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of operations, contributing to a positive and productive team environment.

  • Problem Solving: Addressing any issues that arise during the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, such as inventory discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or logistical challenges.

Skills and Experience

Skills:

  • Attention to detail – Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory.

  • Time management – Efficiently handle tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Communication – Clear interaction with team members and supervisors.

  • Teamwork – Collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

  • Problem-solving – Address issues like discrepancies and delays.

  • Technical skills – Operate WMS, barcode scanners, and other tools.

  • Forklift operation – Safely use material handling equipment (preferred).

  • Safety awareness – Follow workplace safety procedures.

  • Customer service – Ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment.

Experience:

  • Warehouse/Logistics: Experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory management.

  • Forklift Certification: Experience with forklift operation.

  • Inventory Management: Track and organize stock levels.

  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately.

  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety guidelines.

  • Problem Resolution: Address inventory or shipment issues.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer skills – Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)

  • Health and safety training – Knowledge of workplace safety procedures

  • Physical fitness – Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks

Desirable (Not Essential):

  • Forklift certification (preferred)

  • Driver’s license – A valid driver’s license may be required if driving company vehicles
