Ultimate Interiors WA is a well-established Contracting Services Company in the Commercial Construction Industry. We have been trading for over 10 years in Perth and looking for a motivated individual to become our In house Bookkeeper
About the role
You will be reporting to the Managing director and will be responsible for the following:
- Interpretation and application of Australian Accounting Standards
- Facilitate monthly processes including completeness of postings and balance sheet reconciliations
- Working closely with the Director to provide financial insight critical to decision-making
- Weekly payroll processing and associated obligations such as Payroll tax, Superannuation, My Leave Etc.
- Month-end financial reporting, P&L and Balance Sheet with consolidation
- Cashflow, Budgeting and Forecasting
- Prepare and Lodge IAS/BAS returns
- Bank Reconciliations
- Accounts Payable and Receivables duties including debt collection
- Liaise with the external Accountant for year-end tax returns IAS/BAS returns
- Administration as required
- All other Admin/bookkeeping/accounting duties.
Skills Required
To be successful for this role you will have the following:
- More than 3 years of experience in a similar role and have strong knowledge about the construction industry
- Previous experience with Xero
- High level of organisation skills and attention to detail
- A bias for action and the ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced excel skills is a Must
- Dedication to work in a team environment
- Self-motivated and able to manage under minimum supervision
