Our client, a civil construction and concreting company based in southern suburbs of Adelaide are recruiting a key role to join their team. The company handle commercial and residential construction and concreting projects of various sizes and has seen it’s growth organically develop, however now it is moving into a new phase of strategic growth with additional services introduced. The company are seeking experienced and qualified individuals with a commitment to excellence and a positive attitude to fit the role of civil construction trade worker.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain plant machinery in a safe and productive manner.
- Lead pipe-laying operations for stormwater, sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
- Set up and manage temporary traffic control schemes.
- Supervise site personnel, subcontractors, and manage the quality of work performed.
- Perform concrete construction tasks, including preparing, pouring, screeding, and finishing concrete.
- Operate concrete equipment, such as vibrators and trowel machines.
- Ensure accurate concrete placement by reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
- Follow WHS&E policies and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in civil construction and concreting
- Proficiency in operating plant machinery.
- Expertise in concrete works, including screeding, finishing, and operating concrete equipment.
- Laying and connecting pipes and drainage
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualification Cert II or Cert III
- Relevant licenses valid driver’s license and White Card
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must have own transportation.
- Experience in concrete related projects, highly desirable.
