Position Details:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the company’s investment activities, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), financial modelling, debt management, and investor reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to drive optimal financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
· Assist in conducting due diligence and financial modelling for potential M&A targets.
· Collaborate with the Finance & Investment Manager, Tax Accountant, and external advisors to develop optimal deal and entity structures.
· Prepare internal investment papers to support decision-making.
· Maintain strong relationships with external advisors to ensure alignment of interests and successful deal execution.
Investment Modelling & Analysis
· Perform due diligence and develop detailed cash flow models for new business acquisition targets.
· Conduct financial modelling for potential property acquisitions, including investment-grade assets and greenfield/brownfield development sites.
· Develop financial models for new greenfield developments, particularly in fertilizer, chemicals, and green energy projects.
Debt & Lending Management
· Support the Finance & Investment Manager in responding to lender queries.
· Maintain a strong relationship with the Facilities Agent (NAB) to ensure smooth financial operations in the manager’s absence.
· Monitor compliance with financial covenants through monthly model checks, identifying potential issues early and coordinating with the Finance & Investment Manager and General Manager – Contracts & Commercial on consent requests.
· Conduct detailed reviews of new loan agreements from a financial perspective to ensure optimal outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s in finance, MBA - Finance or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in similar role.
Skills:
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
· Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
