We are a structural steel fabrication company that processes 1000 to 5000 tonnes of steel per year. We are conveniently located at the northern end of the Newcastle to Sydney Freeway at our premises in Beresfield.
About the role
We're seeking multiple full-time Blasters/Industrial Painters to join our team to play a vital role in delivering high-quality steel fabrication and surface preparation services to our diverse range of clients.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare surfaces by manual or powered sanding, grinding, or other methods
- Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting
- Apply protective coatings, paints, and other finishes to metal surfaces
- Perform general labouring duties to support the production team
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- Experience in industrial painting, blasting, or general labouring roles
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- A current driver's licence and reliable transportation
- White card preferred
- Certificate 3 in Surface Preparation & Coating Application
- Rigging / Dogging
- Forklift Licence
