EligibilityThose Eligible For This Program Are
A secondary school student in grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 (minimum age requirement 14 years at time of placement)Enrolled in a school within the Sunshine Coast area
Placement Information & Requirements
Placement will be a period of 5 consecutive daysStudents can choose 2 x fields to gain work experience within the 5 day periodCorrect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn during the period of the program Students need to be covered for public liability and personal accident insurance by a recognised educational institutionParks and Gardens work experience placements commence in February through to September
This program will also provide practical experience including developing transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, understanding how the Parks and Gardens Branch operates and building interpersonal skills and confidence.
